We talk a lot about leadership in schools. But too often, we limit that conversation to titles and job descriptions. 

For me, one of the pillars of a thriving school district is shared leadership, that is, the idea that families and schools share responsibility for student success. And that shared responsibility doesn’t begin and end with the school bell. It doesn’t take a break when the doors close for summer.
